Mercy Kananu Mugambi is a seasoned special needs education professional and academic leader with extensive experience in training, assessment, curriculum development and educational leadership. She holds a Master of Education from Aga Khan University, a Bachelor of Education in Special Needs Education (Hearing Impairment) from Kenyatta University, a Diploma in Special Needs Education from the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE), and a Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management from the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) besides other Special Needs Education Related Courses. She has served as a Master Trainer for the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) as well as contributed to curriculum and learning-resource development through engagements with the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD). She has also participated in Special Needs Education related Technical Working Groups under the Ministry of Education.
