Functional Assessment(FA) is critical to early identification, assessment and intervention of learners with disabilities and special needs since it facilitates early interventions as well as appropriate placement for children with disabilities and special needs.

KISE has been mandated to serve as a National Referral Centre. Specifically, conduct screenings and assessments, offer psychosocial and professional support to learners and trainees with disabilities and their families and caregivers, and encourage early identification of learners and trainees with special needs.
