ROLL OUT OF AN END-TO-END ELECTRONIC GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT (e-GP) SYSTEM FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF KENYA

This is to notify all suppliers and service providers of the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System rolled out by the Government. Effective July 1, 2025, all government procurement will be undertaken through the e-GP System. The implementation and use of the e-GP system will foster accountability: improve confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of transactions between procuring entities and suppliers.

All suppliers and service providers are therefore required to register on the e-GP Portal to be eligible to participate in an electronically enabled public procurement process. The Supplier Registration Module captures business details such as Business Registration Number, Tax Identification Number, as well as details of the individuals authorized to transact on behalf of a business. The module has been integrated with other Government systems such as iTax system, Business Registration Service System, and Integrated Population Registration System for verification of a supplier’s details in real time during registration. The registration module also facilitates the creation of supplier profiles and will capture a common set of information necessary in the public procurement and asset disposal.

Suppliers and service providers are also notified of the following:
