Teachers from KISE Primary School (PP1 & PP2) have embarked on a transformative training program supported by the LEGO Braille Foundation, designed to promote inclusive and playful learning for all children, regardless of ability.

The two-day specialized training focuses on equipping teachers with practical skills to effectively use LEGO Braille and Duplo learning materials in their classrooms. Through hands-on sessions, participants are learning how to make lessons more engaging, creative, and interactive while catering to the diverse learning needs of their pupils.

In support of the training, the LEGO Braille Foundation donated two boxes of Duplo and System sets, containing over 7,000 educational materials. These resources will help create vibrant and inclusive classroom environments where play is not only encouraged but also used as a tool to foster understanding and learning among all students.

As part of the program, teachers also took part in disability simulation exercises, gaining a deeper appreciation of the challenges faced by learners with disabilities. This experiential approach underscored the importance of empathy, adaptive teaching methods, and creating supportive learning spaces for every child.

This initiative is a testament to KISE’s ongoing commitment to inclusive education, ensuring that play-based learning becomes an integral part of every child’s right to education. By empowering teachers with new skills and resources, KISE continues to lead efforts in transforming special needs education and building classrooms where every child can learn, play, and thrive.
